More control with Acid Distortion Pro
If one knob isn't enough, there is Acid Distortion Pro. Instead of a single algorithm, the Pro version has nine distortion types, from Classic Acid through Tape Saturator and Diode Clipper to Wavefolder and Bitcrusher. On top of that come a highpass before the distortion that an envelope follower moves, a crossover that routes the sub bass around the distortion, a feedback loop modelled on the KA-303 and an Accent Engine that reacts to transients in the signal.
Ten factory presets, up to 8× oversampling, and besides VST3 and AU the Pro version also runs as a standalone app.
