Sorry, my German is not very good. It has some bug that will crash Reaper, but I cannot tell you why. First time I opened it in Reaper, and tried to change the wave form in the OSC, it crashed without any warning or message. It's crashed a few times afterwards, but seems fairly stable for a beta. There is an annoying bug with the white noise generator. Even when set to zero, it randomly turns on and off for a second, like a broken TV. Like right now, as I am typing this and the plugin is idle.

Perhaps I cannot find this, but how do we set the sound to loop? It plays for a few seconds and just stops. I could be missing something. I will submit a patch I made, which I quite like, and perhaps it might give you something to test with.

Ah, I think the white noise might have been because I had not see the license code in my email. I downloaded it and began playing with it LOL! I also read other people had a similar crash when changing the wave form.

Hey Jo,

Thank you so much for your feedback, really appreciate you taking the time!

The annoying white noise thing is actually not a bug. It happens when you're running the demo version. Once you activate the full version with your license key (you should have received it via email), the white noise will be completely gone. Sorry for the confusion! I think I should make that clearer in the download instructions so nobody else gets confused by it.

Regarding the crash when changing the waveform in the OSC in Reaper, I'll need to look into that in detail. I can't really reproduce the issue on my end in Windows with Bitwig and other DAWs, and I don't have Reaper myself at the moment. I'll install it and do some more testing though, and I'll keep you posted on what I find.

Thanks also for the preset! If you could also post it in the dedicated preset forum (just scroll down a bit on the page), that would be great so we have everything in one place.

Have fun with the Reecer and I'll keep you updated!

Best,
Frank

Hey Joe,

Thanks again for reporting this — we found the bug!

What was happening: When you change the oscillator waveform inside a DAW like Reaper, the plugin tries to update certain visual elements (like
dimming knobs that aren't relevant for the new waveform). The problem was that this visual update was happening on the wrong internal thread, which works fine in standalone mode but causes an instant crash in a DAW environment. That's why it seemed so random and had no error message.

The fix is already done on our end and will be included in the upcoming v1.0.4 update. You should be able to switch waveforms freely in Reaper
without any issues after that.

Really appreciate you taking the time to test and report this — it's exactly the kind of feedback that helps us make Reecer rock-solid. Let us know
if you run into anything else!

Cheers Frank

@admin Yes, my apologies again. I just downloaded it and began playing around. It's actually a very enjoyable synth to play with. I tend to be more of a Surge XT and Vital user, but it's just so easy to get a good sound out of Reecer. I'm about to go download the newer version and test some more. I should be making music ... but hey. 🙂
